To help you define your travel itinerary, here are some of the attractions you cannot miss!
1. Batu Caves
Only 30 minutes away from Kuala Lumpur, explore the limestone hill consisting of caves and cave temples. The location is the site of a Hindu temple and shrine, attracting thousands of worshipers, as well as tourists, every year. It is a Malaysian national treasure and it is easy to see why. The 42-meter tall statue of Lord Murugan guards the entrance leading to the caves, creating an iconic image that is instantly recognizable.
2. Petaling Street
With its red lanterns hanging across the entire street, Petaling Street is an amazing location for shopping, eating and taking pictures. As the night falls, the place comes to life, with food stalls and vendors competing for your attention.
3. KL Forest Eco Park
This large green area located within Kuala Lumpur is the only remaining tropical rain forest within the city limits. The canopy walk provides a great aerial view of the trees and of the city stretching in the distance. Don’t like heights? That’s ok, as there are still plenty of trails and trekking routes for you!
4. Petronas Twin Towers
Arguably the most famous landmark in Kuala Lumpur, they are the tallest twin towers in the world since 1996, measuring 452 meters! It is one of the most photographed attractions in all of Malaysia, but you can also have a breathtaking view from the sky bridge connecting both towers.
